After doing some research regarding ph in urine, I found that if I include more alkaline foods and supplements in my diet then my urine ph would be more balanced. I did that and sure enough, my urine ph went from 4.5 (very acidic) to about 6.25 (acidic but closer to optimal). I eat one large apple a day, at least one calcium supplement, vitamin C, citrus fruit if possible, green vegetables, and more milk. The test strip included were terrible - they bled and looked like my urine was very basic which wasn't true. Test strips by ph-ion worked much better. I stopped using this product almost immediately after I made adjustments to my diet and bc I already use enzyme Digest caps by enzymedica - this product also contain enzymes in addition to potassium bicarb, sodium bicarb, and magnesium citrate. Btw, enzymes are alkaline, which is probably one reason it is included. Personally, I think adjusting your overall diet is a much better value, will save you money, can tastes better, and can satisfy your hunger too. :)
Having said all this, it is important to get more alkaline foods in your diet. It fixed a big part of my indigestion problems and maybe other problems too. Do some research on acidic urine and you will get a lots of information on how balancing the ph will affect you. |

| I replaced taking 1 teaspoon of baking soda to neutralize the acid in my stomach with Enzymedica pH-Balance and it's doing just as well (if not better) without the side effects of putting too much sodium into your system (which the sodium will do if taken for a long period of time) I am very glad that Enzmedica came up with such a product for those of us that need this pH-Balance.. |

| I bought the pH test strips, which I used for a urine test first thing in the morning. I tested two days in a row and got approximately a 6.2 reading (too acid) both times. I then bought the Enzymedica pH-Basic and started taking 4 capsules a day. Two weeks later I got a 6.6 reading. I continued for two more weeks and got a 6.8 or 6.9, almost 7 (ideal). I made no changes in my diet, which is already a low-sugar low-carb diet, consisting of fruits, vegetables, and meats (chicken, fish, and some red meat). This product really works and I'm going to keep using it. |

Enzymedica - Ph Basic, 120 capsules
For over a year now I have been working at converting my lifestyle to a more alkaline emphasis for health reasons. I have found that running an acidic body increases pain, zaps energy and creates immune stress.
I discovered Ph Basic Enzymes last year and they have been excellent for keeping my Ph alkaline when the rigors of life make it challenging to follow an alkaline diet or situations of over exertion with resultant muscle/joint pain and inflammation.
